Definitely! It's my favorite Austen. 🙂
I think its in part because Anne Elliot is such a sympathetic heroine. Unlike, say, Emma, she's supposed to be "past her prime" and has missed her chance of love and marriage – and so when – after a time of such sadness, she does find these things, it feels so very much deserved – in contrast to the happy endings granted to younger, prettier, and flightier of Austen's characters.
Geez, that was a run-on sentence, but no time to fix it now…
